SURGE ANNOUNCE ROSTER FOR SCRIMMAGES AGAINST PENSACOLA

BILOXI, MS – The Mississippi Surge announced that they cut their training camp roster down to 26 players in advance of the team’s upcoming scrimmages against the Pensacola Ice Flyers on Thursday in Pensacola and on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Mississippi will have forwards Mike Richard, Matt Zultek, Tim Velemirovich, CJ Tozzo, Greg McCauley, Andrew Boudreau, Stephen Schofield, Casey Bartzen, Marc Lefebvre, Matthew Larke, Tom Boudreau, Chris Ferazzoli, Steve Koich, and Mark Black, defensemen Shane Wagner, Ryan Huggett, Arthur Kiyaga, Daryl Moor, Jeff Bieber, Derek Legault, Ryan Bartle, Andrew Scampoli, Jack Wolgemuth, and Steve Weidlich, and goaltenders John Hallas and Len DiCostanzo on the roster for the two scrimmages.

Saturday’s scrimmage begins at 12 noon and is free and open to the public. Fans who have purchased season tickets will be able to pick up their tickets on Saturday, and fans who have yet to select a seat for the season will be able to do so at the scrimmage.

Single-game tickets for the 2009-10 season are now on sale. The Surge will celebrate opening night October 24 at 7:30 p.m. against the Louisiana Ice Gators. The first 2,000 fans ages 19 and above will receive a Surge cap courtesy of The People’s Bank and CableOne, and the first 5,000 fans magnet schedules from Z95.3 FM and Kicker 107.9 FM.
