Donation Requests

The Mississippi Surge receives several hundred requests for memorabilia, player appearances, and speaking engagements from organizations each season. We wish it were possible to honor all of them since most are very worthwhile causes. Please know that all requests are given serious consideration. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, the following guidelines must be followed to assure fairness.

Request Eligibility

Requests for merchandise, tickets, and autographed items are limited to non-profit organizations located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Exceptions are made on a limited basis.

The Mississippi Surge focuses its efforts on assisting organizations that benefit youth athletics, disadvantaged youth, children’s medical related causes, and educational programs for youth.

Due to ticket demand, complimentary tickets are given on a strict basis and certain charitable organizational obligations are required.

Requests related to the following are ineligible to receive donations:
-Requests for operating expenses and other monetary donations
-Individuals or individual pursuits, fraternal, veteran, labor or political groups
-Third party requests or organizational campaigns (i.e. United Way, American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, Courage Center, etc.) as we support these organizations on a corporate level
-Award and incentive programs (for profit)

Memorabilia is limited to one request per organization each year.

Application Process

All donation requests must be submitted through the online application. Faxes, emails, phone calls and mailed submissions will no longer be accepted. Please fill out the online application below:

All decisions made by the Mississippi Community Relations Department are final.

Donation Request FAQ's

Q: My charity organized an event at the last minute and we need a rush on a donation/auction item.  Can you send us something quickly?

A: Unfortunately, due to the number of requests we receive, we need a three week time frame to fulfill requests.  We appreciate your understanding and hope you will consider involving the Surge in your future fundraising activities.

Q: How long will it take to get a response to my donation request?

A: Donation requests will typically be ready for pick up 1 week prior to the date the donation is needed.

Q: Can I deliver merchandise to the Surge offices and have them autographed by the players?

A: No, unfortunately we are unable to have merchandise that is forwarded to us autographed. Due to the high volume of requests that we receive, we are unable to fulfill this type of request.  Players are always available after the game near the Surge front office doors to take photographs and sign autographs.

Q: Will a player write back if I send fan mail to their attention?

A: Mississippi Surge players will receive numerous letters from fans this season. Each player is responsible for opening and replying to letters from their fans. The Mississippi Surge cannot guarantee that all letters will be responded to.  Additionally, the Mississippi Surge organization and players are not responsible for returning any items sent.  Please come see for yourself how easy and approachable the players are after Surge home games.

Players can receive fan mail by sending letters to:
Mississippi Surge
Attn: (Player’s Name)
2350 Beach Boulevard
Biloxi, MS. 39531

Q: Are Mississippi Surge hockey practices open to the public?

A: Yes.
